Step 1: After obtaining your FRN register for a test session to test for your amateur radio license.<br>
The Amateur Radio test is broken into (3) license classes Technician, General, and Extra. Each class license builds upon the last and provides more frequency authorizations and abilities. The first test you will take is the Technician test which is a (35) multiple choice exam that you need at least a 74% to pass. This license is also a 35$ fee valid for 10 years. Upgrades to the next license class are free.
