The Amateur Radio test is broken into (3) license classes Technician, General, and Extra. Each class license builds upon the last and provides more frequency authorizations and abilities. Step 1: Click Here and register for to receive your FRN.
Step 2: Click Here to log into your account.

If you have a license it will automatically bring you to your licenses where you can view and print, or submit modifications on the left hand menu bar.
If you do NOT have a license you must do one of the following based on your goals:


GMRS Goal:
Step 1: Log into your FCC ULS Account with your FRN and Password.
Step 2: On the left hand Menu bar select "Apply for a New license"
Step 3: At the very bottom of the drop down menu select "ZA - General Mobile Radio Service"
Step 4: Follow the application process and prompts.
Note: It may take up to a week for you to receive your callsign via email on record with the FCC ULS. This license costs 35$ and is valid for 10 years, learn more about it on the Radio Service Comparison page.
